A good place for a man to begin his search for eyeglass frames is consideration of his facial shape. To make a round face look thinner, it is best to steer clear of round lenses in favor of more rectangular shapes. Men with oval-shaped faces should avoid oversized frames; they can expect to look good in just about any other kind of frame, either round or rectangular.
A heart-shaped face is best served by simple, thin frames that are preferably rectangular; bulky frames are not advised. As far as square faces are concerned, dark-colored full-rim frames are preferable, either round or rectangular.
Men with oval faces are in the best position to experiment with bright and trendy eyeglass-frame colors if it suits their personality.
